I'm walking 7k steps a day this May to support Autistic Australians
I’m participating in Walk for Autism this May in honour of my incredible nephew, who has ASD. He brings so much joy and kindness into our lives, and I want to help build a world where he—and others like him—can thrive.
Sadly, 70% of Autistic people in Australia experience mental health challenges, largely because our world isn’t designed with their needs in mind. By walking 7,000 steps a day,
I’m raising funds for Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect), which provides vital support like early diagnosis, autism-specific education, and inclusive community programs. Every step I take helps create a more understanding, autism-friendly world where people on the spectrum feel safe, accepted, and free to be their authentic selves.
P.S. - I HATE WALKING!
